White Willow Bark

Salix Alba

Although this tree originates in Europe and Asia, it was our Native American Indians who showed us the value of the willow Bark tree- as warriors would chew on a branch from the white willow tree for pain relief after a battle. It has salicylic acid which is the active ingredient in aspirin. Using it in its natural form will not give the body gastric upset or damage. It is also used for fevers, arthritis, rheumatism, and bursitis, and reduces inflammation in the skin. White willow can assist with menopause symptoms like night sweats, hot flashes menopausal cramping, and headaches. White Willow Bark tea taken after a meal can help with digestion. It has also been used to rid worms and parasites. White Willow Bark has vitamins A, B-complex, and C, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Salicylic Acid, Selenium, Sodium, Tannins, and Zinc. It is astringent, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory.

Not intended for children with low-grade fevers. Do not use White Willow Bark if you are allergic to aspirin.
